The Online Summer Socialization Program Process

Good day to our dear parents and guardians!

The program is scheduled for Tuesday, 6th July 2021. We are excited to meet you and your children!  We have developed a process which is outlined below on how to get connected to our Online Socialization Program.

What are our platforms?

Berkeley will use the following Learning Modes:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We will add your profile to our official group chat using Facebook Messenger.

Please check the App if you are already in our group chat.

If you can't see our group chat, please let us know.

What are the technical requirements?

Your child will need any of the following devices: a laptop, desktop computer, smartphone, or tablet. A webcam and headset are going to be very useful. Of course, a stable internet connection is a must to maximize your child's learning.

 

Here are the specifications for your devices.

For Desktop/Laptop:

Minimum Specs -

Windows 7/8/8.1/10, 4GB of RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo CPU.

With or Without Graphics Card.

For Smartphones:

Recommended Version - Android 6.0 and above, IOS 9.3 and above.

Zoom will be our Video Conferencing Tool:

  • For Desktop/Laptop users, download and install Zoom Client Tool here:

  • For Android/IOS users, download and install the official ZOOM Video Conferencing App on the Google Play Stor or Apple App Store.

After installing Zoom, the link for the program is located at our CLASSES tab on our website.

Select "Free Online Summer Socialization Program". A Password is required to open the tab.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The password is: disiplina

After successfully entering the password, click the door to enter the class. It will automatically open the Zoom App.

 

Zoom will prompt users to enter a name.

Please type the full name of your child so that we can verify your identity.

Your child's security is our top priority!

Parents Assistance and Facilitation:

The following actions are expected from the parents or guardians before and during our Free Summer Socialization Program.

  1. Setting up the room, the gadget, i.e. computer, laptop, and audio system;

  2. Accessing the online platform;

  3. Preparation of materials;

  4. Assist the child on offline activities as required, e.g. homework. 

Students will be assigned homework every day doing Practical Life activities. Parents or guardians will take a video of the child’s activity listed below, and submit thru Group Chat.

Day 1 – Pouring Water Activity

Day 2 – Handwashing Activity

Day 3 – Watering The Plants Activity

Day 4 – Cleaning Activity

Why Homework Is Important:

  • Reinforces concepts taught in school;

  • Instills self-responsibility;

  • Exercises brain and improves concentration;

  • Self-discipline, time management, independent thinking and problem-solving;

  • Brings a sense of accomplishment and confidence.

 

Our School IT will be available to assist.
